Before studying painting and screen printing at Chelsea College of Art 1958-62 studied agriculture and worked in research on grassland agronomy. 1963-68 freelance textile designer, made large scale screen prints and clothes. During this period teaching part time in London, Ghana & Pakistan. 1968-71 held a research fellowship at the Royal College of Art, London. 1972 Started making sculpture. 1972- visiting teaching, external examining etc at BA & MA levels. 1989-99 video documentaries of artist's works (equipment loan from Henry Moore Trust). 1976, 1983 Greater London visual arts awards. 1991 award at British School at Rome. 1993 Wingate scholarship to travel and study in Brazil. British Council grants for many shows etc outside UK. . 1977-80 Greater London visual arts panel. 1981-82 Arts Council of GB purchasing panel. Lives in London.
